Reba Mac is a beautiful black and tan female German Shepherd who is about 14-19 months old, who weighs about 65 pounds. She is a very happy, outgoing, playful energetic girl. Reba came to us from a shelter where her owners brought her in because another dog had bitten her leg and her tail and they could not afford the vet care. The leg wound required treatment from a vet at UCD and both her leg and tail healed well. She plays endlessly with other male foster dogs, is perfect in her crate and in the car, and is great around people. Reba loves to play ball and to play with other dogs. She needs an owner with some large dog experience as Reba is super smart and playful and she will require more obedience work. Reba has made a great deal of improvement and she is a lovely pet who is fun to have and is very loving. Our professional trainer has offered a free training session with her to her new owners. She is good in the house and very quiet at night in her crate. She would be fine as an only dog or with a male dog that is playful. Thank you for visiting! Our adoption process is: 1. Submitting an adoption questionnaire which can be found at http://gsgsrescue.org/dogs/adoption-process/form 2. Having an in person home visit - this requires you to be located in an area we have volunteers which is primarily the East Bay, San Francisco and Marin areas, South Bay, Fresno and Sacramento areas. Due to the hundreds of inquiries we receive on all our available dogs, we require that applicants submit a completed adoption questionnaire as the first step in the process. It only take a few minutes to fill out, there is no fee, and it does not obligate you to adopt a dog. Due to the limited hours that volunteers have available, we will not be able to return phone calls or respond to email questions unless a completed adoption questionnaire has been submitted. Thank you for your understanding. We require a home visit by one of our volunteers prior to adopting one of our dogs. We adopt primarily to the Peninsula, Greater Sacramento area, the East Bay. Resources and volunteers permitting we also adopt to the South Bay, Monterey County, Santa Cruz, and the North Bay. Regrettably, we are unable to return phone calls or emails on individual dogs without a **completed** Adoption Questionnaire on file.
